E-governance

For long, e-Governance was believed to be nothing more than the computerization of stand-alone back-office operations. However, there is perceptible change and the government is fast realizing that information and communication technologies have a valuable potential to help meet good governance goals in India. It plays an important role in delivering government services, exchanging information communication transactions, integrating systems and services between Government, Business/ Interest groups and Citizens. It also assists in back office processes and interactions within the entire government frame work.
