Sewage Treatment Plants and Lakes –Hyderabad
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has constructed nine Sewage Treatment Plants abutting lakes of various capacities with extended aeration process and tertiary level treatment for treating the dry weather sewage and discharging same into the lake for the purpose of maintaining and improving the water balance and quality in the lake. The STPs are under operation and maintenance contracts awarded by HMDA. Term of present contractors is coming to an end. HMDA proposes to adopt PPP model to award these fresh contracts and exploring economically viable solutions, duly identifying O & M cost, energy burden and sources of revenue generation.
Services Provided:
Stage 1: Technical, financial and economic assessment of the O & M of these STP’s on PPP model: Defining Project Structure (License/ Permission/ Lease/etc.) of running and maintenance of lake abutting STPs on PPP; Technical, Financial and Economic assessment of 9 STP’s on PPP duly identifying the sources of revenue generation for sustenance, from the existing parks, supply of recycled water, sludge utilization and any other sources of revenue generation including advertisements.
Stage 2: Bid Management Services for the award of work.
